Islam place great importance on education. With the right education and quality, civilized individuals will be formed which eventually led to a moral social life. Unfortunately, even though educational institutions currently have the quality and facilities, but these institutions still do not produce individuals who are civilized. Why, vision and mission of education that leads to the formation of a civilized human being, ignored the purpose of educational institutions.
Emphasis to the importance of students to live by the values of kindness, spirituality and morality as abandoned. In fact the opposite is happening. Today, many educational institutions have been turned into a business industry, which has a pragmatic vision and mission. Education is directed to deliver pragmatic individuals who work to achieve material success and social professions will memakmuran themselves, companies and countries. Education is considered economically and is considered as an investment. Degree is considered as a primary goal, to immediately and quickly achieved so far issued capital will reap the benefits. Education system such as this will produce even students who have high academic status, but status is not going to make them as civilized individuals. Education aimed at is actually a pragmatic and economical influence of the secular Western education paradigm.
In secular Western culture, the high level one does not correspond with the good and happiness of the individual concerned. The impact of the hegemony of Western education to the Muslims is the number of Muslims have a higher education, but in real life, they have not become a good Muslim-Muslim and happy. There is still a gap between the high degree of education achieved by low morale and morality of Muslim life. This occurs due to the vision and mission of the pragmatic education. Actually, Islam has a purpose that is more comprehensive and integrative rather than secular education system that produced solely by students who have a pragmatic paradigm.
In this paper the authors try to explore and describe the goals and objectives in the Islamic pedidikan inductively by looking at the arguments naqli that already exist in the Qur'an and al-Hadith, also combine them in the context of the needs of the community in general in education, so the expected goals and objectives of education in Islam can be applied to the discourse and the reality
